A year of running
Over the past 18 months I experienced a number of losses.
Running became an anchor.
For a year I ran every day, apart from the occasional break due to injury or illness.
Along the way I photographed what I noticed — places, surfaces, the wear on my shoes, and sometimes on my face.
The 1,500 plus images capture the repetition - running from and to home, wherever that was at the time — a ritual of sorts.
From / To is a selection from that year.
I’m still running, though less frequently — partly because my knees and ankles have started talking to me, largely because things have started to steady.
The photographs below come from the later months — a postface of sorts.
